Presentation: Information Management Technology Assessments at the City of Toronto

This presentation will provide an overview of the Information Management (IM) Assessment process at the City of Toronto, conducted by Corporate Information Management Services, in the City Clerk’s Office. IM Assessments bring an IM by design approach to the technology project lifecycle and are conducted through project gating processes and on more informal initiatives. They aim to understand the scope of IM requirements and considerations on a project from a broad perspective and work to address them upfront in the project lifecycle. This presentation will discuss the methodology, tools developed to support the process, lessons learned in partnering with IT and Cyber Security colleagues on projects, and IM policy impacts of supporting projects.
